Leather MacBook Air Manila Envelopes When Paper Can't Cut It Anymore

Everyone remembers watching the MacBook Air commercial for the first time and how completely blown away you felt when the actor, like a magician, pulled out the MacBook Air from an ordinary manila envelop.

I'm sure this scene has been repeated time and time again in offices and apple shops around the world, but it begs the question, how practical can it be to actually carry around your notebook in an envelop?

Probably not at all, however the boffins at Bird Electron have cleverly introduced it's line of hand stitched leather "envelopes" for MacBook Air instead. It looks really good with stitched edges and comes complete with the iconic envelop's thread loops.

Let's hope to see it here in Asia soon.

I keep reading about the humble USD$149 Flip Ultra Video camcorder that's dominating Amazon.com's best selling camcorders and is expected to be the number 2 camcorder brand sold in the US (currently 7th). The Flip sells itself on how easy it is to use and has surprised many consumers and market watchers alike.

Turning it on takes all of 2 seconds to startup, press the red button to record, Play button to play, Trash button to delete. Once you're done with your day of shooting, simply extend built-in USB cable to your computer and the Flip will compress your file into the correct format for you automatically. I really like the sleek lines of the Sony Cyber-Shot T300. It's ultra-compact dimensions includes improvements over on the T200 model and keeps the brush metal lens cover with a velvety smooth sliding action.

On the back you'll find an unbelievably large 3.5" LCD display and boy this thing is huge, taking up the entire back of the camera. This doubles up as a touchscreen interface to access all your menus and shooting modes.
